About Luca DG
Luca DG is an Italian singer-songwriter known for his blend of traditional Italian music and modern pop influences. He began his career in Southern Italy before relocating to London, where he developed his unique sound. Over the years, Luca DG has released multiple singles and EPs, collaborating with various international producers and musicians, and has consistently drawn inspiration from his personal experiences, Italian roots, and London’s diverse music scene.

Early Life and Career Beginnings
Luca DG was born and raised in Southern Italy, where he was first exposed to music through his school’s vocal choir at the age of 14.
His early musical influences were rooted in traditional Italian pop and folk music, which helped shape his early interest in singing and songwriting. During his teenage years, Luca performed with various local bands, exploring both cover songs and his own compositions, influenced by international pop and rock.

Move to London and Career Development
In 2009, Luca relocated to London, marking a turning point in his career. The move exposed him to a vibrant music scene and led to collaborations with UK-based and international artists and producers. Luca credits this period as essential to his musical growth, as he began blending elements of electro-pop with the storytelling traditions of his Italian heritage.

Recording Career
Luca DG’s debut as a recording artist came in 2011 with the release of his first single, Your Words, which was followed by the EP Words the same year. The EP featured Un Día Me Despertaré, a bilingual Spanish-Italian duet with producer Jay Lucco. This marked the beginning of a long-term creative partnership between the two.
In 2013, Luca collaborated with Manchester-based producer Michael Poplawski to release The Love I Have For You and its Italian version Esploderò. These songs explored themes of love and loss, further solidifying Luca’s ability to evoke deep emotions through his music.

LDGR Records and Later Releases
In 2016, Luca founded his own independent label, LDGR Records, granting him greater creative control over his work. Under LDGR, he released Last Day (2016), a dark electronic track that showcased his evolving sound. In 2018, Luca followed up with I Already Left, which featured a music video shot in London by director Gabriele Paoli.
Luca continued to expand his artistic repertoire with the release of A Perfect Love in 2020, an 80s-inspired electro-pop track produced by Jay Lucco. In the years that followed, he explored various genres and emotional themes with songs like Fumo Nero/Humo Negro (2021), Stalker (2022), and Last Night (2023).

Recent Work (2023–2024)
In 2023, Luca released the singles Love Again and Blush, both of which furthered his exploration of personal and romantic themes. He began 2024 with the single L’abitudine, a return to his Italian roots, and is preparing to release his next single, Lethal Pretty, on November 11, 2024. This new track delves into themes of emotional vulnerability, combining mellow pop elements with electronic sounds.
